Wet Crawl Space Waterproofing
Crawl Space Waterproofers in Greater Lincoln & Omaha NE and Des Moines, Cedar Rapids IA Since 1986
Wet crawl spaces is the most common symptom of homes without a basement. In many cases homes are built without proper protection of the elements underneath the baseboards which eventually lead to water damages, mold, and structural failure. When water seeps within the soil from under or around the crawl space it can either become damp or flooded. This is caused by rain or thawing snow that has no where to go except leak into the soil.
Soggy or unstable soil conditions threaten the entire home with shifting or settling. Over time wet crawl spaces can lead to mold and pests which deteriorate wooden frames and supports if left unchecked. Having the proper crawl space repair systems installed will remove this problem permanently.
Solutions & Repairs for Wet Crawl Spaces
Products Used for This Repair: Crawl Space Healthy Living Encapsulation System
We use the Healthy Living Encapsulation System to repair and seal the area under your home. When your crawl space isn't sealed moisture, excessive humidity, and unwanted critters all cause issues in your home. We install a white, durable vapor barrier attached to the wall and floor surfaces. It permanently seals off your crawl space from the outside environment so it stays safe, dry, and healthy. No moisture means no mold growth and no wood rot.
With every encapsulation job, we install a special drain system designed to improve water drainage underneath the floor liner. Thanks to its 100% polypropylene design, it will never experience problems with moisture damage unlike other systems on the market. Since every home is different we have different liners available to fit your home's needs.
Products Used for This Repair: Crawl Space Sump Pumps
For extra protection against leaks, we install a sump pump to remove any excess water under your home. It is installed quickly and features a pit or "basket" that accumulated water is stored in. Once water inside the pit reaches a certain level, it is pumped out away from your home to a drain located a safe distance from your foundation.
Additional Products Used: Spray Foam Insulation
In combination with the encapsulation system, we can apply spray foam insulation into the crawl space. This will fill all the tiny voids in the space between the floor joists that would allow small amounts of air to get through. With the spray foam insulation applied, we can increase the energy efficiency of your home and further prevent moisture in your crawl space.
